Under the guise of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/rabbi-bradley-shavit-artson\/your-non-partisan-guide-to-voting-biblical-values_b_2036700.html\">biblical advice on which to choose political candidates<\/a>, he has outlined a biblically based political programme &#8211; which is pretty much exactly as I&#8217;ve been arguing for some time (although Rabbi Artson doesn&#8217;t go so far as to call free market capitalism as we see it operate &#8220;the System of Satan&#8221;&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>He does have one caveat in the article &#8211; he states that he is no expert on the Christian scriptures, but that from everything he&#8217;s heard about Jesus, Jesus would not disagree with any of what he&#8217;s written. Now my arguments have largely been based on the sayings of Jesus &#8211; and they end up in the same place.<\/p>\n<p>This may demonstrate that Jesus was solidly in the Jewish tradition (I think it does), or that our dominant neoliberal social and economic policy is contrary to God&#8217;s will for the world (I think it is).
